Cancellation

Cancellation cover is also valid in the event of epidemics or diagnosed pandemic illness, e.g., COVID-19

Refund of cancellation fee or commitment deposit (up to € 3.000 per person and € 10.000 per case) applied by an accommodation provider in the event that the person insured cancels a journey as a result of:

illness (including epidemics and diagnosed pandemic illnesses, e.g., COVID-19), accident or death:
       - of the person insured or one of their relatives
       - of a business associate

  • the person insured or a travel companion being required to quarantine on the orders of the Government, Public Authority or journey provider if it is suspected that the person insured or a travel companion has been exposed to a contagious illness (including an epidemic or pandemic illness, such as COVID-19). This does not include quarantine that applies to part or all of a population or geographical area, or in the departure or destination locations or intermediate stages of the journey. 
  • being called for jury service or as a witness in a court
  • being summoned regarding the adoption of a minor
  • material damage to the residence or property where the person insured carries out their commercial activity
  • being unable to reach the destination due to adverse weather conditions in the place of residence
  • being unable to take a planned journey due to the person insured being made redundant, suspended from employment (wage guarantee funds, temporary redundancy) or taking up new employment
  • the theft of documents required by the person insured for foreign travel purposes


Excess
: no percentage excess will be applied in the event the person insured dies or requires a hospital stay greater than 5 days. A 15% percentage excess will apply to all other cases.

Travel Assistance

All medical assistance cover is also valid in the event of epidemics or diagnosed pandemic illnesses, such as COVID-19

  • 24-hour assistance platform
  • telephonical medical advice
  • sending a doctor if it is deemed necessary during the Medical Consultation
  • ambulance transport, accompanied by a doctor, if necessary, to a better-equipped centre or return home
  • nursing assistance at home following organised repatriation for health reasons
  • simultaneous repatriation of relatives or one of the travel companions of the person insured
  • supervised repatriation of a minor
  • travel costs for a relative or designated person
  • repatriation where the person insured is recuperating
  • telephone interpreter service
  • translation of medical record
  • body repatriation
  • early return home due to the death of a relative
  • stay extension
  • information - assistance for pets
  • delivery of urgent messages
  • money advances
  • legal counsel finding and advancing bail
  • refund of telephone call costs incurred when communicating with the Assistance platform
  • assistance for relatives at home: telephonic medical consultation



Medical Expenses

Cover is also valid in the event of epidemics or diagnosed pandemic illness, e.g., COVID-19

  •     € 1.000 per person for Italian residents                                                                                                          € 30.000 per person for residents abroad who are travelling in Italy

    Sublimit:€ 250 per day for ward fees 

    • Refund of transportation costs from the location of the event to an emergency medical centre or hospital up to € 500 
    • Refund of medical expenses, pharmacy expenses, outpatient care or care at home following an accident occuring during the journey, sea and mountain search expenses up to € 500 
    • Refund the cost of urgent dental treatment up to € 100


    Excess: Refunds will be subject to a fixed excess of € 50 per claim

    Curtailment

    Cover is also valid in the event of epidemics or diagnosed pandemic illness, e.g., COVID-19

    • Pro-rata refund of journey costs if relatives and travel companions have to be repatriated for healthcare reasons and this has been organised or authorised by the Operations Centre. Cover is also valid in the event that the person insured or a travel companion is required to quarantine if it is suspected that they have been exposed to a contagious illness (including an epidemic or pandemic illness, such as COVID-19). This does not include quarantine that applies to part or all of a population or geographical area, or in the departure or destination locations or intermediate stages of the trip.
    • Refund of supplementary accommodation expenses in the event that illness, accedent or quarantine prevents you from returning home: up to € 100 per night and up to a maximum of € 1.500
    • Refund of transport costs incurred to return home if you have to extend your stay: up to € 300 for persons resident in Italy and € 1.000 for persons resident abroad.


    Delayed arrival

    Refund of journey costs already paid in the event you cannot benefit from services due to delayed arrival at a destination caused by:

    • a breakdown or accident involving the vehicle used to reach the accommodation
    • yout flight, sea vessel or train is delayed
    • adverse weather conditions.

up to € 150per night and up to a maximum of two nights
